Nicole Brooks and Brent Dublin
Welcome Mr. and Mrs. Dublin
What a wedding homecoming. The Dublins were here again with a new addition to the family, Nicole. This was a 3 day wedding with festivities from morning till night......into the night I should say. Everyone was walking all over the Hill down to the water and into the woods. The guests were many who remained the 3 days and even more who came to witness the ceremony. Food was being cooked at different locations on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Breakfast included. Cochino became a Gypsy Village of music , cooking, visiting, fishing and enjoying the outdoors. Sausage were being cooked outdoors in one area along with hamburgers and along the way Beans, more sausage, brisket, cheese dishes and breakfast burrito. Visiting went on between the groups and those in the Lodge getting it ready for the big celebration.
The Brooks Boys brought what looked like an 18 wheeler BarBQ set up. complete with living quarters. All contained in this one huge Green BBQ mobile invention by the Brooks. They cooked round the clock into the night. I think they had a lot of fun aside from the cooking. Perry , Scott and Wade Brooks all stayed with the cooking until they pulled out on Sunday. Scott Brooks was in charge of the Buffet Service. He did a great job. Kept it going and HOT. Jammie Brooks, his wife, had a huge sweets table, hot chocolate and coffee bar. Everything imaginable and so uniquely made. This was a HIT with everyone. I loved 'those things' that were like sand tarts on the outside and pecans on the inside. I wish I had those right now. They were gone in no time. Nancy Griffey from Palestine made the Bride and Groom's cakes. They were beautiful and a labor of love for the new couple. Delicious and so well made.
Greg Dublin and Steve Williams also had a delicious BBQ set up at the entry to The Village. A crowd was backed into this area waiting for hamburgers, Sausage-to-die for (Steve's secret receipt) and breakfast. It was wonderful going from one cooking to another.
Guests came from Wills Point, Palestine, Tennessee Colony, Bodark, Black Foot, Athens, Bay cliff, Harmony, Leauge City and other points in Texas. Love the names Bodark and Black Foot. I may have to visit there.
The Bride and Bride's Maids were attended by Dori Honea, Morgan Gilly and Wade Brooks who did hair and makeup. The bride and bride's maids were beautiful.
The minister was Grandfather of the Bride, Fred Cooper. His wife, Barbara was by his side. They traveled from Wells Point. Randy Robb, Shawn Robb and Grandma all came from Canton.

The DJ was Dalton Gauthier who as always, keeps it going and attends to it all. Nothing left undone, all photos events announced, photographers ready and guests in place. I never saw such a long line and as many at the Sparkler Sendoff. Dalton Got them lined up, lit up and the photographer got the best photographs ever.
Brittany Dublin-Griggs was in charge of the Décor. It was beautiful. Brittany is so talented, patient and knows what to do and does it quickly. Abi Winkle of Palestine assisted with the décor and arrangements of flowers . Large twisted greenery adorned tables. The Bride and Groom's head table had twisted greenery and lanterns. Reception tables also had greenery draped around the lanterns as well as the different sizes of wooden 'log' candle holders. Tables were also on the Decks decorated beautifully. The arch 'into the woods' ...the enchanted forest was draped in fabric and a spray of greenery of cedar/pine and floral punctuations. Small glass containers hung at different levels with candles illuminating with a soft glow, the Bride and Groom. A Huge crowd gathered in the forest. It was beautiful. Green pine trees as the backdrop. Brown pine straw as a floor, and the sky peeking between the pine bows created a very sacred feel. Music wafted throughout the forest as the Bride walked toward her Groom. What a Beautiful Day.
