Monk and Brooker

Danielle Brooker and Brandon Monk

are now Mr. and Mrs. Monk

Lovelady and surrounding areas honored  Cochino Lodge with their presence.  It is always wonderful to see these people no matter where.  They are friendly, personable and always cheerful and fun. One guest, close family member, came from Mississippi. This was Jay Blount, who was a great help at the wedding. He visits Lovelady often and is almost a Texas as he is here frequently.

Danielle and her mom came and began to decorate on Friday. The extended family of their pets came as well. A well thought out ambiance was highlighted with the décor chosen. Elegance along with simplicity and unique punctuations was the order of the day.  Fresh flowers  and greenery were everywhere.  The handrails of the lodge were decorated with floral sprays, the arch and barrels that were on each side of the double doors.  "We love our dogs" was evident on doors, signs and dog treats to take home to your pet.  And in addition to this, They were in the wedding and well behaved. All the family was there to begin their journey together.

The tables were decorated with roses, pearls and cylinder vases with eucalyptus sprinkled about the table tops and their sweet aroma filling the room. The groom's cake is unforgettable, he and the bride playing baseball.  Adorable. The bride's cake was beautiful and delicious as well.
The wedding was held on the East Lawn with the Tall double doors between two trees as the backdrop. The beginning of Winter was in the air and the trees had lost their leaves at this site, however it was beautiful with the blue lake  in the background and the tall green pine trees standing stately to witness the ceremony.  Randy Hargrove performed the ceremony and was perfect. He is always a pleasure to see.  Dalton Gauthier was the DJ and sound. Always on point and a great asset for any wedding. You don't forget any of the events for the photographer to capture and  remember the day as Dalton announces what is next.  The guests danced the night away, visited and had a wonderful time. May this couple and their extended family of fur babies live happily ever after and remember their roots are in Houston County.
