Rachael Hoyt and Jared Drake

Mr. and Mrs. Drake

The sun came out, the rains subsided and the wedding was off to a great start.  Not too cold and not hot.  Great day for a wedding and fishing......It all began on arrival.

The Bride and her family and friends arrived Friday and   began with décor of the reception area  and preparing for the  rehearsal dinner in the vintage parlor which was made ready for Friday night .  The décor was ELEGANT.  Beautiful Rosette table cloths, vases of gold highlights and fresh beautiful flowers everywhere. Family and friends made the elegant fresh floral arrangements and highlighted with candle light which created a feeling of being in a flower garden at dusk.  Gorgeous rosette tablecloths along with runners on various tables were used.  There was a  memory table so as to remember those who could not celebrate here on earth but with the feeling that they were present. There were  snapshots displayed on old doors of the couple as documenting their times together.  The Cakes were beautiful and delicious. Nothing was left undone.

While a lot of the work went on, the groomsmen and dad of the bride were hoovered at the lakes edge.....FISHING, and they  caught a lot of fish even on the day of the wedding.    Some more than 30 each.  Father of the bride caught the biggest and best on his Rex Hoyt, Texas Rattler...….and this was Rex Hoyt himself pulling those fish out.   Here is his story:

if people only knew that Rachel told me to be ready at 4:45 pm to be in line for start of weeding - she didn't tell me about the pics BEFORE the wedding ;-) ..so arrive at 3 pm so I can get in hr of Fishin' to fulfill my quest of duplicating a special fish I caught on one of kids big days in their life 👍 … so I was basically fishing on "borrowed time" since I was supposed to be getting ready for the pics BEFORE the wedding ❗️ .. 2nd cast and I caught what I was after on the Texas Rattler™ jig we make here in Rockport and I was early for the Photo session 😎 .. reminded me of the day I caught a 28" Trout on a Rod n' Reel I bought for my son the day he was born and I broke it in for him when Dr. told me to go home and let his Momma and my son get some rest .. "Thank You" for providing an awesome place for us to have Rachel's wedding .. rolling hills, hidden lakes and tall pine trees where it gets dark long before the sun ever sets - I call it "God's Country" 💯👍😎

Everyone made it on time to the wedding ceremony and it was beautiful beneath the Old Oak Tree that had the Lake as the background. ( I am sure some of them had visions of Fish still swimming in their minds)   Dalton Gauthier was the wedding officiant and presented the ceremony  along with Rachael and Jared having written vows to each other included in the ceremony. Unity Candle lighting with family was also included.  The guests were delightful. Some brought their family pet which also attended the wedding as you can see in the photographs.   Sat on the front row and was so well behaved.   A lot of the guests came from Rockport, Huntsville, Houston ,Florida New Orleans, Kingwood area and various other points. Such a great group of guests who had delicious food prepared by Friends and Family. Great to have extended families that are great role models for a lifetime to come. Then the dancing began. Dalton Gauthier was  in charge of music, sound and wedding event orchestration. They did not miss an event to complete.
They danced night away. Then had a sparkler send off.
Easy going group of people, who has talents to pull it all together and provide food and a good time among themselves.  Lot of good memories made.  Everyone had a good personality, talkative, helpful and fun.  Dancing and laughter and good time  A 3 day wedding , so enjoyable. so Easy a group to have and such a pleasant memory to have.
Mr. and Mrs. Jared Drake  ……  Happily Ever After.
