Mr. and Mrs. Wars
Cochino Lodge
Beautiful Weather. A Huge crowd. Great Food, visiting, dancing and a wonderful Wedding.
The Bride's twin Brother performed the ceremony. It was such a delight seeing the couple recite the vows presented by her brother. The presentation was very well done! So many guests, several had been married here some years back and some recently. Always great to see them again along with new family members and old ones.
I made new acquaintances. The family of the Bride's Mom, Precilla, and her mother and aunts. They were so personable and nice. I loved the cinnamon sweets that were brought. I could have eaten a bushel of them. Family prepared the food. The groom was working right along with getting the food out as well as Greg Caddenhead. Terri Caddenhead made the beautiful cake. It was delicious and beautiful as well. It was great seeing these two as well. I know their families generations back. Such a pleasure. Shannon and Jolynn Wars visit me often and they were here as well. They married here previously and I will always remember them and their wedding. There is just something about all these Trinity County people. I missed being officially one of them by ONE MILE down the road.
Dawn Gauthier was the wedding decorator. Everyone loved the floral arrangements and wedding arch setting. It was beautiful.
After the ceremony, after the cake cutting, dining, speeches and other traditional events...it was time for dancing. This group had a great time. The trees were vibrating with sounds that Dalton Gauthier provided. There was laughter and Karaoke. These old woods were once again reliving the parties of past times when the timber was young, the earth raised food instead of flowers, the creek's water was for washing clothes and not just looking at, and sometimes you slept under the old oak tree instead of getting married under it. The spirits of those who trod here still look over those passing by.
The new couple, Mr. and Mrs. Wars will live happily ever after.
