Mr. and Mrs. Winstead at Cochino Lodge
A huge crowd that came from Centerville, Marques, Leona and Jewett as well as other points in Texas, gathered to witness the marriage of Carlee and Jared. A delightful group that was enjoyable, fun, interesting and some related to me somehow and others married here as were Seth and Kari Noey from Centerville.. It was great seeing everyone. Rain threatened but the Bride had planned on having her wedding on the deck and this worked out beautifully. An old oak tree that hangs over the Tree House Deck was the backdrop for the wedding with the lake in the distance. You felt that you were truly a part of the outdoors but were under a roof. An arch that was graced with 3 windows and floral arrangements was beautiful for the couple to stand in front of. This was made by the family.
The décor had a warm County Side feel to it. The bride had made runners that were the perfect color for her décor. Lanterns, old brown bottles, crockery an oil lamps adorned the table tops. Floral arrangements and 'baby boots' and deer horns were also included. The groom's table was so interesting in that his tiny boots were a part of the décor. Amazing how we all grow up. A popcorn bar was situated on the front Veranda. Guests picked up brown bags of this treat coming in and going out. A great idea. Cake tables were gorgeous. Beautiful Cakes for the bride and groom and delicious as well. Andy's Photography did beautiful photographs as a sampling can be seen on my Facebook. The food was catered by Lindo Guanajuato Tex-Mex of Crockett, Texas. It was delicious and an abundance. Dalton Gauthier provided the Sound, Music and announcing throughout the wedding. Great as usual and keeps it all in order and on time. The Minister was from the Centerville area and has had weddings here before. He was very thorough and had a good presentation. He covered all the most important facets and the bride and groom were happily married.
