Artavia Davis and Kelvin Robbin
What a HUGE gathering of Families. Even Great Grandparents were in attendance. Many generations of families came to witness this beautiful ceremony of marriage deep in the forest of Houston County. Surrounded by huge pine and hardwood trees, the beautiful wide open skies and the lake. Some of those were the Davis, Wooten, Owens, Griffin, Parker, Bacon, Robbin, and Pastor Derrick White, Sr. was the officiating minister. The coordinator was Regina Tillis. Photographer and Videographer was Marcus Owens. Patricia Clutter made the bride and grooms cakes and they were beautiful. The family Catered the food. BBQ was delicious. Smoked chicken was the best ever. The Decor was orchestrated by Joetta McCullough Owens and her two daughters. It was beautiful. Colors of Black , white and Gold were throughout. Glowing candles adorned each table with varied vases or lanterns, mirrors and twinkle lights. Elegance was the order of the day. The ceremony was on the North Deck with flowing black and white curtains as the backdrop and barrels topped with huge ferns on each side. The Bride and Groom both had very unique cakes. They were artistically done and delicious.
The families and friends all celebrated together with food , music and a great time visiting and dancing. Grandfather of the Bride Mr. George Owens celebrated by fishing on Friday and caught enough large fish for a fishfry....next week when its just he and JoEtta. Cleaning fish is a labor of love.
I enjoyed the wedding. I met the children of grandparents and parents that I have known and grew up with. It is amazing how so many good traits are handed down for generations and you can see them today in the new generations. It was a pleasure meeting the old and the new. A group of hard workers who made a beautiful wedding for all to enjoy and gave 100 percent to the new family to have a memory for a lifetime.
