Jace and Heather
Cochino Lodge
What a delightful wedding. The decor was orchestrated by Heather. Beautiful tower vases with floral arrangements, silk table runners and squares were made by the grandmother of the bride and were professional and beautiful. Tiny colorful crystals sprinkled on the tables completed the elegant presentation. A little 'vintage' could be seen in old typewriters, old adding machines, and telephones of another era. Always a good conversational addition.
The cake table was huge, the cake was the biggest yet and delicious. A many flavored layered cake enjoyed by everyone. The crystal cake plateau was the centerpiece flanked by lighted glass bricks made by the family. The head table also had crystal candle holders that the bride brought.. So elegant and perfect. Doors were set up on the flagstone as the backdrop for the ceremony. Guests were seated on benches on the lawn as well as inside the chapel. The old oak tree was behind the doors at a distance and was once again a part of the ceremony. The Grooms table was double the size of the usual table. The mother of the groom had a unique, one of a kind table for the groom. The catfish cake was astonishing and delicious. Floral arrangements and lanterns adorned the table. A great focal area for sure.
Family helped with all the decor along with Kim Stevenson , decorator, who worked throughout the wedding weekend. The food was bountiful and delicious. The music was by Glenn Lenderman. Great for dancing and Great for just watching and enjoying Glenn's sounds. Glenn is always a pleasure to have at Cochino. The mother of the Bride sang several songs with Glenn accompanying her. They have worked together before and have a great sound.
And we must mention the guests. Such a friendly and fun group of people. Many I knew from times past. Made a lot of new acquaintances and some here from weddings past. Always a great reunion at a wedding. A wedding is a gift as well as a ceremony that is shared with others. This makes a wonderful memory for all times.
Mr. and Mrs. Childerss may you live happily ever after, raise a family and make even greater memories as a family.
