Ashley and John and little Rance
Celebrated at Cochino Lodge
a Grande Wedding
Saturday Afternoon 2 PM a huge crowd gathered on the breezy hill of Cochino Lodge
Old Church Benches, Cedar Arch, Wheat Bouquets, Saddles, Hay and the Cochino Wagon graced
the East Lawn for their wedding. The sky was beautiful and the weather could not have been better.
The Family gathered the day before to decorate, visit and plan. Belinda Conner Rustic Decor provided and arranged the decor. Boots of all discriptions were filled with flowers of the color of old saddles and western blue stream water. The look was that of Old Texas and Western Elegance. Many photos of weathered wood held those sacred photos of the couple and their families. The smell of wonderful candles made by Conner Rustic Decor filled the room and the light of the candles added a glow. Old mason jars held dry pinto beans and scented candles as well. Photos placed inside the jars were placed in the windows of the Mid-deck. Old Lanterns were alongside these as well. Brown 3-dot snuff jars from the Earl and Sybel Smith Farm graced the main Mid-deck Table along with horse shoes and tiny bales of hay. Old milk cans held flower arrangements as well from Conner Decor. The Cake table had large circles of logs cut with love by Bill Conner for his daughter's wedding. An afternoon Dinner of Bar-B-Q was provided, Music by Jimmy Hughes played from beginining to end with a great variety of music. The background music before the festivities was very enjoyable and nostalgic. (Hughes can be reached at 936-676-7033 or http://www.hughesentertatinment.com/ for a weddinbg DJ) Dancing followed dinner. But the Fishing at Cochino had the attention of everyone. Fishermen and Fisherwomen were lining the banks in formal attire, even the Bride in her gown and veil. The most fish caught by a guest was 18 Bass. Fishing was Great At Cochino. Someone suggest a Fishing Tournament would be great at a Wedding.
The Wedding was like Family returning. Many of those in attendance had either had a wedding here or attended many during the past years. Most knew to bring those fishing poles, knew where everything was, were familiar with the night sounds, the brave possums and raccoons visiting and enjoyed the new revisions and the green grass and full lake.
A Beautiful Wedding, Charming Families and Guests and such a
Beautiful Bride, Handsome Groom and Precious Son.
