Raelyn Gilmore and James Wars
Had their Wedding at Cochino Lodge
April 21, 2012
This was a Wedding of all Weddings where the Bride was Beautiful and the Groom Handsome, HOWEVER...
The Bride and Groom did not steal the show, but their son did.
He was very much a part of the wedding and loved the Unity Sand Ceremony. He HAS A LOT OF PERSONALITY AND IS SO ADORABLE.
The officient, Billy Clemmons, friend of the family as well as State Representative for years, presented a very laid back and at the same time a very inspiring ceremony that put the couple at ease. So very proper and fitting.
The weather was lovely. Very Cool yet sunny. The Lake glistened in the sunlight and was a perfect backdrop for the Wedding. The decor of the wedding had all the elements that the Bride and Groom wanted to include. A lawn wedding facing the lake was perfect. Old church benches and white chairs were placed in front of the tall natural Cedar arch that was decorated with burlap swag. The huge cypress boulders were place alongside the entry , not standing up, but laid strategically that seemed to point the way and welcome the guests. It was Vintage......vintage country meadow, vintage old river, old trees. The bride used her late father's boots as a holder for the meadow and woodsy flowers and greenery and placed these on the memory bar along with photos of other family members and their vintage wedding photos.
The bride used the shoulder strap of her fathers overalls as a wrap for the bridal bouquet. This was very attractive as well as touching. For the Cards and notes of well wishing, an old suitcase was chosen to hold these. Vintage hats dotted the table and were great for conversation.Good photo opportunity as well. The most interesting table decor was made by the Bride. She made cylinder containers for flowers out of sticks that were cleaned of every bit of bark and nibbled off at the ends by Beavers. These were so unusual, I have included a photo for you to see. The family table had 'Mr. and Mrs" written on burlap and placed along the front of the table. The flowers were placed in containers wrapped in burlap then put on top of circles of cut tree slices. The 'champaign' was placed in a copper pitcher and iced down. The cake table was adorned with a Boot cake and the bride had a beautiful traditional cake with her chosen colors. The Deck was alive with food and music(provided by ______Let me know who???___________) and dancing throughout. The buffet on the Back Gallery had 15 feet of bar-b-que of several kinds and all the trimmings. Smitty's Bar-B-Q of Crockett did a great job. They can be reached at 936-544-2033 for large or small catering. They serve the meal as well and had it all set up before anyone knew it. The photographer was (please send info), took pictures from all angles and vantage points. I noticed the 'old Edsel, 1959' was one point of photography and should be very interesting.
Family and Friends worked together to make the wedding unforgettable.
