Leslie Murillo's Quienceanera at Cochino Lodge

Leslie Murillo celebrated her birthday of 15 years with a wonderful Quienceanera  at Cochino Lodge
May 5, 2012.

Friends and Relatives helped to make her day of celebration Magic. Leslie was a beautiful young girl about to become a woman.  The service was in Spanish and English.  Bibical words of wisdom instructed Leslie on how to lead an honorable life and one of Service to God and all those she met.  One of Leslie's favorite songs was sung by Cory Smith who did a great job.

Her attendants were her friends from School and Church who gathered around her during the ceremony.

The Grounds and Lodge were decorated traditionally. Large paper flowers hung from the trees and beams of the Lodge.  Pinatas were displayed to enjoy later that night.  Front Veranda Rockers were trimmed in Yellow ribbon to mirror the rays of the sun.  The registration table was like no other. Each guest signed a river rock for Leslie to keep. Inside the Main Lobby the 5 tier cake was displayed elegantly.  Nana's of Lufkin was the artist of this.  A huge fruit sculpture stood on an adjacent table.  Delicious as well as so artistic.  Family constructed the fruit assemblage.  Each table was decorated with Leslie's chosen colors. Antique lime green and  tangerine along with candles, flowers, and a runner of fringed burlap adorned each table.  Seating for more than 200 was arranged on each deck as well as seating inside the Lodge.  A large serpentine table  was placed on the lawn for those who arrived early to enjoy the chips, dips and beverage.  The Candy Buffet was glowing and full of beautiful glassware filled with all sorts of candies.  Guests helped themselves to a bag full to take home and enjoy.  White lights were everywhere and lit the outside.  A huge moon was over Cochino.  It was the fullest ever and so impressive.  Guests took turns looking through a guest's telescope that magnified wide open skies on May 5, 2012 to behold the heavens.

This was truly a moving ceremony that gave one a lot to think about. Especially how important such a ceremony is to make one mindful of responsibilities and get your priorities in order and a firm foundation to live by. This insures a happy and long life.
