Once in a lifetime you meet someone who changes EVERYTHING !!!!!!
The Hassell and McCauley families gathered together at Cochino Lodge beginning on Friday May 9, 2014 to begin to prepare for the wedding. This was a mini destination wedding for many as they traveled from Montgomery, Conroe, Nacogdoches , Lufkin, Hudson , Huntington, Center and San Augustine. some spending 3 days at Cochino compliments of the Heath Hassell Family. The Lake and the tall trees of the forest provided the backdrop for a beautiful wedding. The bride and groom's families worked together to have the wedding as the new couple wanted it to be. Food was cooked by the Bride's dad and brother, for 2 days preparing for the many guests. The Bride's Mom prepared the side dishes a well. Dawn McCauley had a dessert table that was artistic and very delicious. Many varieties of sweets were offered and they disappeared quickly. The bride designed her wedding cake and it was made to specifications by Grandough Baking Company. The Groom's cake was of the Groom's design as well and both were delicious. Connie Wells put the final touches on the wedding with her wedding expertise and knowledge. She found the unusual and created a great wedding feel. Connie also directed the wedding ceremony and kept the scheduled events flowing. She set up the Photo booth, made the floral arrangements for the large porch rockers, and decorated the arch with a beautiful spray made by the Bride's mother Stacy. Connie made the day much easier for the families as she took care of all the details. Glenn Lenderman, The One Man Band-Lufkin, entertained throughout and had his usual great sound and entertainment. Photographer, Sarah Williams, The Silhouette Studio-Lufkin- did the wedding photographs. Sarah has been to Cochino many times and is always welcomed as her work covers the wedding from beginning until end.
The wedding was a great experience. The families of each were so friendly and easy going and tidy. Some fished, photographed, took walks down the trail, and enjoyed the outdoors of the country. I would welcome them back anytime.
