Cochino Lodge Weddings: Edward and Brandy

Edward and Brandy had a beautiful wedding at Cochino Lodge. It began on Friday with the decorating and planning for the wedding the next day. Brandy had many helpers and together they had a decorating twist altogether their own brand. The tables had books standing vertically parted in the center and standing tall.....with a slender bottle or other décor placed in the middle of this. How adorable. The room glowed with a calmness awaiting the next day's celebration. The Groom's Table had as the centerpiece of décor a set of huge air horns. We were going to blow them but did not want to wake up babies in attendance. . The Groom's table had cheese cakes and The Bride's table had a lovely cake adorned with flowers. There was NO CAKE left. Family was abundant among the guests and well as Brandy's co-workers . Many guests were from South Louisiana and had that wonderful accent. Dalton Gauthier performed the wedding ceremony held under the "Old Oak Tree" with a history going back over 100 years. The field workers a century ago, rested under the tree at dinner, before going back to the fields. My dad was one of them along with his brothers, sisters and parents. What a history and how the history has changed. This wedding was glamorous and held at dusk. Lights from the oak tree lit the ceremony with the sounds of the night in the distant back ground.

After the ceremony it was time for Dinner. The food consisted of fajitas and tamales with all the trimmings. It was delicious. Guests were served very zesty drinks with fruit, margaritas, and other mixtures. I enjoyed meeting those from this area that I had known their families years ago. The mother of the Bride, Rose, was delightful. She and I go back a long time. We laughed a lot especially while I tried to take a selfie of Rose and myself . Rose is such a good sport and fun.

Music, by Dalton Gauthier, played throughout the celebration. He has any music you desire and can switch to something else in the middle of the night. He also coordinates all the events of a wedding so you do not miss out on them or fail to get a good photograph of it.

There were so many beautiful women at the wedding.

The guys were stunning. Everyone was so friendly and easy going. There was at least 4 generations present. These families are keeping up with each other and celebrating together. What a great example to follow.
