Vanessa Lopez and Cody Capps

Wonderful day for a wedding. The week before was discouraging but wedding day was sunny, crisp and a great wedding day. The wedding site chosen was at the waters edge. The bride and her mom decorated the arch with Pampas plums, flowers and flowing material. On each side of the walkway to the water and arch . Pampas grass lined the walkway. The lake was beautiful as the backdrop. The sky overhead was clear with billowing clouds. The bridesmaids all had different dresses that were gorgeous, the colors were outstanding.

Inside the Lodge in the Reception area. The bride, family and friends began to help decorating on Friday.  The bride made beautiful arrangements for each table. Very innovative floral 'holders' that the bride had imagined and made great use of. Impressive. I want to copy this.   Two large floral arrangements were placed on the 21 foot wedding party  table. Gold and burgundy were the colors on this table. The Table was Grand. Very Impressive and Beautiful.  Vintage chairs lined each side for seating. Brass candlesticks were placed throughout the reception on all tables and the candles glowed on the wedding day.  Many signs were displayed that the bride had made. These were unique and endearing.
All of the guests were friendly, happy and interesting.

There was an abundance of food and a variety of drinks.  The Cake was outstanding. Biscuit Bakery provided the cake. It was decorated beautifully with floral. It was delicious. The grooms cake was unusual and it was delicious as well.
The guests were a delight. I renewed friendships of wedding past of Donnie and
Artavia. I met great grand parents who were delightful. There had to be 4 generations here, maybe more. I met guests who knew friends of mine and we revisited in conversation those common acquaintances.  I especially enjoyed 'remembering Barbara'  who lived in Crockett.
The music and sound, was provided by Dalton Gauthier, DJ. He had any song that the guests requested and the dancing began after dining. The events were also announced by Dalton and he kept it all on schedule.  Dalton is mindful as to what came next. Not missing the important memories for the Photographers to capture. The Officiant for the wedding was a family friend.  He did a great job, put the couple at ease, was candid and had a great presentation.  The bride and groom had their own written vows.  So complimentary of each other, a recollection of times together, how considerate and thoughtful each were and most of all how their love grew over time. It was the official marriage of the family unit together. No one was left out.

Their togetherness will last and the three of them will live happily ever after...a continuation of what was before but now sanctioned with a beautiful ceremony.
