The bride and groom were so personable and such a nice couple. I felt as if I had known them for years. The families and friends were delightful, fun and so helpful. All worked together to get the décor in place in the reception area. Shelby had painted bottles a complimentary color that went with her décor. Her head table was decorated by her grandmother, Brenda who used a 'rag curtain' made of lace, burlap and cord that overplayed the Ivory table cloth. It looked great and punctuated the head table delightfully. Brenda, also decorated the reception area especially for the bride and groom . Brenda is very talented and made the reception area glow with love. She also coordinated the attendants procession to the wedding ceremony and kept it all in order. Brenda's ideas were stunning. She also decorated the arch as well as the 'back up arch' in the event it rained. It was a great day and the double doors on the East Lawn was the wedding ceremony site. The bridal party came the day before the wedding for decorating and the rehearsal of the ceremony and the rehearsal dinner, coordinated by Brenda as well. Family and friends gathered Friday and began the celebration. On the wedding day, Dalton Gauthier was the DJ, Master of Ceremonies and sound. Lot of Dancing and fun was had after the delicious meal, prepared by a family friend. He cooked the fajitas-chicken and beef-onions/peppers on site. Pam Troutman, family friend, and her husband Tim prepared gallons of deliciously seasoned beans. They had plenty. Chantilly Bliss-Sherry Gauthier, coordinated the Buffet and had it all ready to serve after the ceremony. Sherry always decorates the Buffet area with vintage and country décor or what the particular wedding lends itself to. Such an enhancement to the meal. Her crew serves the food, keeps the steam table filled and has delicious sweet tea and unsweetened made from pure well water. She also had a coffee bar with the aroma of fresh coffee wafting throughout the lodge. Beautiful wedding and many guests that witnessed the marriage of Shelby and Will. All good people who will serve as great role models for this couple and their children.
