What a glorious wedding. There was standing room only on the East Wedding Deck. Family and friends gathered to witness the marriage of Brittany and Davon The Bride began the wedding ceremony with a song to her beloved Davon.
The Wedding ceremony site and the reception area was created beautifully by Designer and Coordinator Regina Tillis. The décor was well thought out and was perfect. Beautiful Table cloths of gold rosettes were on all tables including the 21 foot table for the wedding party. The room glowed with such a soft ambiance of tiny lights on each table as well as chosen colors of gold and burgundy. The guest book was on the front veranda where Regina had detailed and created a beautiful vignette for favors, programs and photographs of the couple. The reception dinner was catered and prepared by Willie Tillis and Regina. The food was delicious. Bar B Q , beans, twice baked potatoes and all the trimmings. Served by a great staff of women. Lonnie McKnight kept the ice buckets filled and was such a great help. The iced raspberry tea was a cooling treat in the Late afternoon Texas summer. Dancing and visiting went on throughout the night. I enjoyed the wedding and guests and was reunited with many friends I had not seen in a while. It is always such a treat to be a part of a wedding with so many fun, helpful and likable guests. The wedding minister was Rev. Bill Reece whose wife is Jesselyn Freeman Reese. He presented a heart felt ceremony for the young couple. It was not complete until the newly married couple Jumped The Broom which is an ages-old tradition.
