Lauren and Andrew

Lauren Westerfield and Andrew Bass

Mr. and Mrs. Bass at Cochino Lodge

The hillside at Cochino was alive with guests, music, dancing, delicious food  and a wonderful ceremony.  Lauren and Andrew were welcomed as Mr. and Mrs. Bass by the many guests who attended.  Pennington, Texas was well represented by the many who came and Trinity county as well.  So many friends and relatives who were so delightful. Roger and Becky Hendry, grandparents of the bride, had a feast awaiting the guests. There was so much food. There were so many compliments on the Brisket that Roger prepared. Over heard talking among the guests was...'best BBQ that I have ever had'.  It was so flavorful and tender. Roger has done this for years so he is a master of cooking at any event.
Sherry Gauthier of "Chantilly Bliss" delighted the guests with her Buffet Coordination and service.  Everything was put in place and ready for the guests to enjoy the food and served quickly and efficiently.   Sherry always decorates the Buffet area and it is adorable. Vintage items and unique décor are always delightful.  Things go so smoothly with Chantilly Bliss.
Rose Daily created the beautiful Groom's Cake. The delicious cakes that Rose makes are becoming very well known. She won first place in the HCEC recipe contest.  The Bride's cake was also stunning as well as the pies for the Groom's table went FAST.....
Friends and sister of the bride helped in getting the Reception area decorations done in record time. Simply elegant was the design of the day. Old lanterns , log slices were on each table. A huge wooden table was used as the Bride and Grooms table.   The wedding was held on the West deck, breeze blowing and lights glowing from the tree house Deck.  Pastor Lowery preformed the ceremony and did a very good presentation of the vows.
Dalton Gauthier was the Music, Sound and Event announcing/coordination.  He has it all going in the right direction. You do not have to think about it. He does it all for you.

I enjoyed seeing my old class mate Roger Hendry(grandfather of bride). I have known him always. He is one of those fixtures that you associate with your youth. Rose, his sister, I have always known as well, but not for the same number of years as she is younger. I guess you could say Kennard made us who we are, some of us remaining, then allowing some of us to move on to Stubblefield and Pennington.  Staying close to our roots. Lauren and Andrew have a great background of family and friends who are great examples to follow.  May they live happily ever after, raise a family and continue the tradition of "living in the country" and call it 'home sweet home'.
