Havard and Smith Wedding
Samantha Havard and Roy Smith were united at Cochino Lodge. WHAT a wedding !!!!!. So many had been here recently that we all felt related. It was a wedding that seemed to have no stress. There were so many little family members that really enjoyed themselves scampering on the lawn on such a warm and beautiful day. It was truly a family event to celebrate a new family unit about to embark on a wonderful journey.
LaNell Havard, family member, was great as usual. She has been here before and knew where everything was and set out decorating on Friday morning. She had it all organized and ready to go. The décor was of the Bride's chosen colors and ideas. The Groom's table was exceptional. I loved the Huge Sign on his table "Deep East Texas Boys" with hog hunting in mind. The food was provided by Stephen Havard, husband of LaNell, there was plenty and it was delicious. Ms.Sharlene Sanchez made the potato Salad and it was totally GOOOONE. Delicious. It was so good to see Sharlene, she can clear ground as I remember distinctly. Haley Havard, husband and TWINS were here , so glad to see them. The Groom's dad, Woody Smith, made the beautiful cross that was the Alter piece for the wedding. Always good to see Woody, he can get things done quickly. Mr. and Mrs. Key and baby-key-soon-to-be were all 3 here. So happy to see them. Another little Cochino baby to arrive soon. The Brides Maids all worked together making a wonderful wedding and a memorable one. I hope to see them soon, they are very helpful.
Heavy C Entertainment provided the music. He makes sure everyone has a good time and pleases the crowd.
Sarina Music and Brittany Carlton were every where photographing everything. The photographs will be wonderful. I love it when I see these two arrive. So familiar with Cochino, they know where every good angle is, unique corners, wide open spaces, water, trees and sky. They make the best even better.
Dalton Gauthier was the wedding Officiant. Dalton always has a good presentation and includes all family members. The couple had their personal written vows for each other which brought tears to the new couple and to the guests. So heartfelt, sincere well thought out. The Unity Cross was part of the ceremony with the bride, groom and son all participating. Such a memory to keep as a reminder of their vows to each other.
Happily Ever After and may their family grow.
