Smith and Weeks wed at Cochino Lodge

Krystal and Andrew
Mr. and Mrs. Weeks
and Family

What a great celebration. The bringing together of not only two but  four within  a new  family
A delightful group of people and friends. Some of them Cochino Alumni...the Skinner/Smith and the Kettering/Stifle along with many who had been here before. The decor was laid out by the bride, her mom and the many bridesmaids. Excellent designs representing both the bride and groom. The food was delicious.  Greg Stephens always has wonderful food. It was on time and plenty of it. Mark Kettering worked from beginning until the end making sure the buffet was ready on time and kept the trays full. These two were great assets to the wedding as they did all the worrying about getting it cooked and  out and on time.
The wedding ceremony was held in the forest. It was perfect for the couple. Huge pine trees, some years old, were a part of the ceremony, standing tall as the couple made their vows.  The old  ground beneath the guests was  where young children ran and explored the forest over 90 years ago.  It was a place where petrified wood was abundant, animals made their homes there and it was known as the 'Hollow'.  A creek still winds its way through the bottom land nearby where clothes were washed in a washpot on the creek  and then taken back up the hill to hang on the fence to dry.   Times have changed but great memories are still being made here. Mother Nature offers her tall trees with the sky peeking through, and  hallowed ground  as a sanctuary for vows to be made and not broken.
The minister who presented the vows had a presence that was serious and at the same time lighthearted which put the couple at ease. He was kind, knowledgeable  and spiritual in his presentation.
Sarina Musick and her second shooter were busy making memories for the new couple.  Always a pleasure to have them here.  Sarina has the most unique photographic view.  Fun too.

A very pleasurable wedding.  I enjoyed the celebration  I made new acquaintances as well as renewing old ones. So many family/friends that helped, made for an easy and stress free wedding. A close and mindful group of people who all took part in the celebration as well as the preparations.  Guests were 'taxied' to the wedding site by brothers, uncles, friends -- I know Ross Skinner was working in many areas as well.  All these helpers are great example for the new couple to follow.
