Wendy Rodriguez and Jonathan Barnes Married at Cochino Lodge

Barnes and Rodriguez
Married July 14, 2012
Cochino Lodge

The Celebration of the wedding began on Friday at Noon. The family gathered to decorate, enjoy each other's company, make plans, and have a delicious meal.  The night before the wedding is always memorable   and very laid back as everyone is waiting for the big day to arrive and are not in a hurry.  On the day of the wedding, the rains came in the morning but by midday it was clear and everyone knew the wedding would be on the east lawn.  The chairs were placed near the open air chapel where seating could be in both places.  It was a melding of cultures with the different chosen ceremonies that were held.  The Ring ceremony with rings  being presented by a family of good and great influence and with well wishes was given the bride and groom.  The rope ceremony with the bride and groom seated in special seating created by the bride's father, was performed. The white doves were set free  at the end of the ceremony and soared.  The sand ceremony, symbolic of the mingling of two families was also performed.  Presentation of coins was very dramatic as well as the song sung  by Leslie Murillo.  The wedding was filled with traditions  of time.  The very large Bride's  cake was done by Ann of Nana's Wedding Cakes in Lufkin as well as the decorative cake of the groom's.  Give Nana a call 936-639-1955.  She delivers, sets the cake up and cuts it for you and then boxes up the top of the cake and what remains for you to enjoy later.  The Sound was by Charlie Bobbitt of Crockett, Texas  936-546-6876. Bobbitt also filmed the wedding and reception, his artistic abilities are amazing..  Captured Soul Photography  by  Kayla Moore was the photographer for the Wedding.  Great unique ideas. You must see the photographs.  Great music was provided by Mike Osborne.  Beautiful real  flowers were brought by Crockett Florist. Those ladies are so talented.  See the Bride's Cake and the flowers on this.
A beautiful Bride and a handsome Groom who was dressed in his Military attire were married by
Pastor Steve Meadows who comes to Cochino frequently, along with his wife, Terri, who keeps things moving in the right direction.  Pastor , Jose Torres,  interpreted the  wedding in Spanish, very moving ceremony.
