Heather Forrest and Lance Redd Married in the tropical forest of Cochino Lodge

October 12, 2013
Heather Forrest became Mrs. Lance Redd

Cochino was the tropical forest on October 12, 2013.  It was sunny, it was cloudy, mist and low clouds loomed above, blue skies came again, then the rains began.  Warm forest rains that would usually change the East Lawn venue to the North Deck,   however neither rain, thunder nor lightning stopped this bride and groom and their  guests from celebrating on the East Lawn as planned. The great nature of the couple came into play when they both, surprisingly, walked down the aisle before the guests could reseat themselves after the rains had begun to scatter the crowd.  The minister quickly began, the groomsmen and bridesmaids gathered with umbrellas with the Bride forgoing using one as she stated  'I don't want to get struck by lightning'.  Everyone was smiling at the sportsman ship of the couple and each other as they braved the rain.  As the ceremony ended everyone shouted happily for the new couple  and then  ran for cover. This couple will have memories to recall for a lifetime.  ....I can just hear them  in years to come....'Well it happened like this...... the rain began to fall.....but that did not stop us". Maybe this will be their motto for life.

Cochino was changed into an elegant vintage country wonderland. Mother of the Bride and family members and close friends worked for months to get the décor just perfect. There were so many unique ideas and precious décor that attended to every tiny detail.  Many talented helpers came and put it all together. Father of the Bride and his family of helpers constructed and positioned and then repositioned a little more to make the ceremony structural design situated just right for the Bride and Groom to have their ceremony.  The wedding was truly a labor of Love.
The food was abundant, sweets everywhere, great  Grandough Baking Company Bridal and Groom's Cakes and art cookies.  A milk bar and many favors for the guests such  as honey and mints. Lollypops were  displayed in an old keg and had 9 different types of ribbon and lace bows that  tied them. Works of Art in themselves.  Signs were placed throughout the lodge and grounds giving directions and instructions. One of the cutest being the Dinner sign announcing the time with plate and dinner ware strategically placed on the sign. Lace, burlap, old doors and windows and photographs punctuated the lodge throughout. The outdoor Memory garden was arranged by the Bride's Grandfather. Flowers, saddles, pictures, old washpots and other country memories were used.  The outdoor chapel was used for light refreshments. An old country table laden with lemonade and fruit and cheese and vegetables were enjoyed by the guests.

Please enjoy the photographs that speak volumes. What a COUPLE !!!!!. Not only a beautiful bride and handsome groom but a couple with a GREAT attitude.
