Kristi and Quincy's heart felt message to their guests was presented on a hand made fan that the Bride had created. Such a revelation as to how they felt about themselves, family and friends. And it began.....
“We
have waited with much anticipation for this day to arrive and we are honored to
share these moments with our friends and family. We would like to give thanks to God for
blessing us with each other. Thank you
to our parents for their love and guidance, you are appreciated more than
you’ll ever know and we love your very much.
Thank you to our family and friends, we are happy we could share this
special day with you and we are truly blessed to be surrounded with so much
love and support. “
During the ceremony, the bride and groom chose to have a
tree planting ceremony. The officiate,
Tim Heifner, explained “that this
ceremony symbolized the roots of their relationship, and the continued growth
of their love, as they become each
other’s family. He went on to say that
their relationship and their love for each other was like the tree that they
planted and that it would grow tall and strong.
That it would stand during the harsh winds and rains and storms and come
through unscathed. Like a tree, their marriage
must be resilient. It had to weather the challenges of daily life and the
passage of time. And like the tree that
they planted, their marriage required constant nurturing and nourishment. “ The
bride and groom then watered and fertilized the tree during this ceremony. A very moving ceremony.
The traditional “I Do”
ceremony was not going to be used (a surprise to the couple) Instead, as the bride and groom gave each other
a ring as a symbol of their everlasting love and s each placed the ring on the
finger of the other, each one
professed their love and intentions for
a life time together. This was not
rehearsed but was asked for by the officiate, Tim Heifner.
This was all that was necessary as they had included all that was included in the traditional vows. They were then pronounced man and
wife. A pleasantly surprised Bride and
Groom and such a grand way of each expressing this promise. So personalized.
