Jenkins and Holland Marry at Cochino Lodge

September 7, 2013
Brittney and Austin became
Mr. and Mrs. Austin Holland

The Princess and Prince found each other and tied the knot at Cochino. Many Friends and family members attended. The colors were turquoise blue, white, and the yellow gold of sunflowers.  The Groom's mom coordinated the décor and it was stunning.  Many photographs of the couple were on easels scattered throughout. A 'smores' island was set up with fire, marshmallows, chocolate and Graham Crackers to hold it all together.  So unique.  Fresh flowers were everywhere. The vases were bottles that were caught in burlap bags with pull strings and numbers on them. Other vases were spring water blue and filled with flowers as well.  Wheel barrows were set up outdoors that held more elaborate flower arrangements that were done by a family friend,_________________.  The Arch and seating were set up very near the water's edge on the slope of the hillside. Rain threatened and the winds blew but the wedding ceremony continued without incident.   The Cakes were beautiful and artfully done by ___________________, who came and set them up and decorated them on site. The music was brought by Judy Fields of FX Entertainment  who has been to Cochino many times.  Judy never ceases to amaze me. She talks the crowd into dancing every song. Judy announces the special dances for each such as the bride and father, then groom, and mothers and fathers dancing.  The toasts are even managed by Judy. Nothing goes undone. All announcements are orchestrated by Judy and she has the sound equipment for the ceremony as well so that everyone can hear the vows being said.  The Food was provided by the family of the Bride and Groom together. Delicious bar-b-q cooked on site by the Groom's dad on a huge rotisserie pit and all the trimmings by the Bride's parents, especially the delicious potato salad.  Night fell and the music lingered, families visited and then it was time to go. Many family members chose to stay at Cochino for the night and continued to visit between the cabins until sleep called them in.
Great families. new acquaintances, new ideas shared and hoping to see them all again in the future.
