Mr. and Mrs. Ethan Ferrall
Celebrated their marriage with family and friends who came a distance to witness the ceremony and vows that the couple had created themselves for each other. The recollections and promises for the future together brought tears to guests and the couple as well. Such a meaningful and well thought out celebration. The theme was reminiscent of the movie "UP" and so appropriate for the new couple. Vintage décor and ideas punctuated with balloons and colorful ribbon and cottage table décor fascinated the guests. Grandmothers, Grandfathers, mom and dads as well as the aunts and uncles and friends were all there to help out. The guests gathered Friday and left Sunday at Mid day. The guests came from Salem, Oregon, Seattle , Washington , Washington DC, San Diego California, Dallas, Houston, Pasadena, Graham, Wichita Falls, Holiday, Centerville, Washington and Opelousas Louisiana , Catalpa Bayou and Greece (yes). A lot of visiting went on for the 3 days and very little sleep. Fishing went on until into the late night as well. The Groom left Sunday night, for Korea, so last minute time was spent with him.
Grandfather of the Bride, Preston Evans, played the didgeridoo, which had a very unique sound and was and enjoyable experience for all. I was mesmerized . Although known in Australia among the aborigines for over 2,000 years (some say 40,000 years) It was a treat for the airwaves of TEXAS. And I must say first time for Cochino Lodge. Grandmother Evans helped out extensively with the wedding décor and keeping it all together.
Grandmother of the Groom , a true Louisiana Lady, made the beautiful Groom's Cake as well as a 'side' cake of the Bride's favorite flavor. The Louisiana Guests were a lot of fun, in a good mood, and had a good celebration personality. Love that Louisiana accent and the Cooking !!! Roxie Richard of Opelousas, Louisiana was a pleasure to meet. Mother of the Groom, Tammy, still had a hint of the Louisiana accent and was full of energy, worked to have her Son the perfect day. Father of the Bride, David Evans and his wife, loaded and unloaded the truck for 3 days. They made sure everyone had everything they needed including 200 pounds of ice. Mother of the bride, Deborah, was fun, smiling and helpful. I thought at first she was a sister to the groom's mother as they resembled each other so much. Two beautiful ladies.
Grandough Baking Company of Lufkin made the formal wedding cake for the Bride. The Groom had another cake make by relatives of the family which was beautiful and tasty as well. The food was catered by Country Cousins of Centerville, Texas. A lot of delicious food and well presented with attendants serving the guests. Steve Adams Sound provided the music. It was great and the volume was great on the lawn for the ceremony and for the guests to dance to as well.
Please enjoy the Celebration in Photographs from the Wedding of Alex and Ethan.
The Beautiful Bride and the Handsome Groom are up, up, and away beginning a new life together.
