At Cochino Lodge
When the day of the wedding arrives, the weather forecast becomes very important. Rain was predicted and it did rain during the night before the wedding. However the day of the wedding could not have been better. The sun was shining down on Cochino and the new couple's wedding. A huge crowd gathered from Lufkin, Pollock and surrounding areas to witness the ceremony. A wedding theme of wild flowers prevailed. There were fresh flowers and plants everywhere. The bride and her mom had repurposed all the containers which were decorated and painted and held the plants which then were given to the guests to take home. The bride's cake table had a cake plateau made of wood by the Groom's dad. It was 3 layers holding the bride's cake on top and layered with cup cakes. The groom's cake table was the 'hunter of hunters' table. It had deer, antlers, greenery and things associated with the forest and hunting. This was the art work of Jerri Crawford, aunt of the Groom. Three large barrels in the mid deck held arrangements of more wild flowers which blended well with all the decor. The Grandfather performed the ceremony for the new couple. Connie Wells coordinated the wedding making sure that everything was on time, in place, and moving forward. Connie takes the stress out of a wedding and manages everything from getting the attendants down the aisle to the buffet table being ready and in order. She has been to Cochino many times and is truly welcomed by everyone.
This was a beautiful wedding with great guests and family. Each wedding has a different personality which is a reflection of the two families and the bride and groom's wishes. This was one of nature and beautiful wild flowers and earthly finds so special to the couple. The handsome groom and beautiful bride will now make a family uniquely their own.
