A great Cochino Lodge Wedding
Guests gathered for a wedding on the Tree House Deck. The huge oak tree limbs framed the floral arch created by Dawn Gauthier, who also was the wedding designer. The Bride's ideas were put into artistic motion. Beautiful. Moss hung from the low tree limbs making for a very romantic ceremonial site reminiscent of a southern wedding. The colors were coral and turquoise that created very festive and vibrant ambiance for enjoying dinner and dancing. The wedding ceremony was performed by Dalton Gauthier. The ceremony had jewish traditions as well. The 'breaking of the glass' was engaging and had a great lesson to remember throughout a marriage. "Mazel tov" was shouted by the guests meaning 'good luck'. The fragility of the glass suggests the fragility of human relationships. The glass is broken to protect the marriage with the implied prayer...'as the glass shatters, so may your marriage never break.' Jewish Menorahs flanked each side of the mantle with soft glowing candles.
The Hora, the classic celebratory dance that almost all Jewish weddings include was totally enjoyed by everyone. The couple was seated on chairs and lifted into the air, by very strong groomsmen, with dancing about the dance floor. A handkerchief was waved about and the couple hold the ends
symbolizing the couple connecting to each other. Entertaining the bride and groom, in this fashion, on their wedding day is not only a mitzvah(good deed) but also an obligation.
The gathering of a fun and loving group of people wishing the new couple a happily ever after life together.
Sparkle and Shine Photography did a great job getting the right moments for the new couple to enjoy.
Dalton Gauthier was the sound and music. He also announced the events as the night progressed. Not missing any important event. Always great.
Mauricio, with Ray's Food Court, had an enormous amount of delicious food. Including boiled shrimp in a bag, baked chicken, beef tips, rice, potatoes, salad, corn and a lot more.
Dawn Gauthier was the wedding designer and worked with the bride and groom to create the exact wedding feel that they wanted. Dawn has unique, one of a kind, youthful and lasting memories for weddings. No stress.
