Mr. and Mrs. John Vickers Wedding Reception at Cochino Lodge

Bridget Nicole Baker and John Vickers
Wed at Kennard First Baptist Church
Brother Jim Durham performed the Ceremony.

A well chosen venue for the Ceremony for the many memories associated with the Church. John's Great Grandparents-the Vickers- had lived in the community all their lives and had attended First Baptist Church. Bible School had been attended by John's Dad and Uncles and Aunt.  Summer visits were made often by the whole Vickers Family. So, the tradition is now with John and Nicole making new memories for future generations to call upon and follow in their foot steps.

A great Wedding Reception was held at Cochino Lodge. Many guests gathered to celebrate this great occasion.  The Bridesmaids along with the Bride arrived on Friday and Decorated the lodge. Candlelight, dark brandy-rose flowers, vintage containers and log pedestals punctuated the tables. Softly glowing tabletops that set the mood for a lot of visiting and enjoying a delicious meal. The Bride's Cake  adorable and delicious was placed on  a polished  oak pedestal, identical to the Groom's,  both  made by family.  The Groom's PIE was made by the Groom in the shape of TEXAS. In addition to this Pecan Pie, there were a total of 20 pies not only of pecan but buttermilk and apple. There was a line for the pies and enjoyed by all. Pies were made by Family Members and the Cake by Grandough Baking Company.
A delicious buffet, provided by Bodacious of Lufkin, had plenty of sausage, brisket, potato salad, beans and all the trimmings. Bodacious served the food with flair and were so efficient.
Dancing began to the sounds of  Steve Adams , DJ, who has been to Cochino numerous times. He knows the routine and has any song you would want to hear.
Two Sisters Photography were  with the couple throughout the day's celebration. A great documentation of one of the most important life events. Two Sisters Photography(903-316-9879) from Rusk, Texas, great photographers who did not miss anything. Hope to see them again soon.

As the new couple danced the last dance of the night around the dance floor, it was very obvious that they were meant for each other. The large Family of Bakers and Vickers watched the couple as they moved to the music without having to think of where the next step would be. In total harmony. Smooth sailing.  Happy.  Living happily ever after.
