Rebecca Kesinger and Wes Cockrell Wed at Cochino Lodge

June 8, 2013
Great Weather, No Rain

The Kesinger and Cockrell Wedding was planned by the Bride and Groom
and they were assisted by parents, relatives and friends in making it come alive with enough memories for years to come. A great crawfish boil was held after the rehearsal at Cochino Lodge. Tate Poiencot along with his brother boiled enough crawfish to feed the multitude of people who attended. Tate brought these all the way from Houma Louisiana and they were well worth it.  Peach Cobblers made by Karen Poiencot's mom were delicious as well. The décor was art!!! Vases made of a variety of vintage ropes were placed on the tables. Great shapes with no two alike.  The bride made these designs which were perfect for the tables.  Mason jars and cylinders on pedestals finished the vintage county look beautifully. The cake stands were made by the Groom's dad , McDonald,  along with Tate Poiencot. They were made of tile and old barn wood and trimmed in rope. They were so pretty and the woodwork was excellent. When the wedding ceremony began the groom rode in from the west on a magnificent horse to meet his bride. This was a pleasant surprise for the guests who attended.  This couple were made for each other. Their interests compliment each other and both families worked so well together getting the wedding together for the new couple.
The music was great.  Steve Adams of Groveton did a great job. The traditional bridal march was a great rendition with a slightly unique sound. It was played with a great volume as well, making chills on those who heard it. It just filled you with emotions as you watched the bride making her way toward the ceremonial site where her groom waited with his horse tied to the wagon.  The Bride's cake was done by Mrs. McAdams of Groveton, beautiful and delicious. The Groom's cake was done by Grandough Baking Company in Lufkin.  It was NOT the traditional Groom's Cake. It was a Colorful and Beautiful Rooster. Tail Feathers and All up in the air.  It was delicious as well and sooo unique. I loved this.

A Beautiful Bride and Handsome Groom, a fun couple, a serious couple, sincere and just right for each other.  They will have a long and happy life together.
