Tofuri and Moyer Wedding at Cochino Lodge

Andrew and Katie

This wedding was well planned and very laid back. No stress and no one hurried. Family came and laid out the decor in record time the day before the wedding.  It was beautiful and the smell of lavender wafted throughout the lodge. Rain threatened  but the wedding was held on the East Lawn overlooking the lake with a view of the trees beginning to leaf.  So green and lush. Soon to be the tropical forest of Eastern Houston County.  The Ceremony was like no other. Very casual, candid and totally about the new couple and what they wanted.  The Unity Water ceremony was chosen by the couple as the sharing of water from the same vessel.  Each offered the other water from the wedding vessel.  Family enjoyed themselves dancing, eating, cake cutting and being entertained. Father of the Bride and  brother played a piano duet on the back Pub of the Lodge. The piano was brought into Cochino in 1927 and is still playing and bringing entertainment to those who visit. Everyone enjoyed the spontaneous nature of the families who also did a little Karaoke.  A lot of visiting went on as the new couple will soon head to Colorado to live. This is a Great Couple who have just begun their journey together.  Perfect for each other.
