Gainer and Bennett Wedding Celebration Held At Cochino Lodge

May 21, 2011
Hank Gainer and Jane Bennett became Man and Wife.

It all began with a great gathering of family and  attendents the night before the wedding.
The goom's family had prepared a delicious rehersal dinner and worked the afternoon away getting the deck in order for the occassion. Table cloths were carefully placed on the tables making sure everything was just right.  Uncles and cousins and friends hung a ceiling of white lights that lit up the area with warm ambiance.  The bride and her mother had made a banner of quilting material cut in triangles and strung which were then hung around the perimeters of the lodge. Old quilts were hung on the beams of the lodge porch. This created a great feel difficult to put into words.

It was a wedding beyond description.

It was made possible by a family who worked together to make the most unusual wedding of all times.  It was a wedding of the couple's desires, ideas and whemsey melded with family heirlooms, antiques of a bygone era, novel arrangements as well as new things of wood and fabric  made to look ventage by Debbie and Gary Bennet, parents of the Bride  and artists themselves.    There were  flowers of all sorts and colors looking as if they had just been picked  decades ago in someone's early to mid 1900 flower garden and now  found homes in beautiful old bottles and containers.  These also had a  history of their  own in addition to adding decor to the tables. Pressed flowers in  see through miniture envelopes of woven fabic, vintage fans, parasols, precious cookies, old jars with cool water and sodas to fill them along with a hard paper straw to drink from ...were but a few of the items carefully thought through to make a great day for guests.  The guests left with memories of a wedding that was unlike another.

You could say it was the couple's spirit and personality made visible.

Oh What a Kiss. It lasted long enough for several shots.

Connie Wells  makes sure that the wishes of  bride and groom are carried out.  Connie attends to all the details
Nothing is left out and that the wedding goes accroding to schedule.
With Connie there is no stress as she manages it all. Connie enjoyed working with the Gainer and Bennet families and did a great job executing the wishes of the families.

Old Pie Safe great for holding the drinking jars

Music by Pro-DJ , Shawn, began just prior to the ceremony, Shawn then moved to the Grand Deck with lots of speakers and great Vintage Music. All the early 1940s 50s and 60s were very familiar. Great dancing. Great fun.
