East met West and the Husley-Chaput Wedding Began at Cochino Lodge

Sarah Dianna Hulsey and Eric Brian Chaput were wed July 24, 2010 at Cochino Lodge. This was a Texas wedding in the heart of the Davy Crockett National Forest that welcomed the Groom's Family, The Chaputs of Rhode Island.  The Bride and her family and friends were busy for months planning the wedding.  Nature and the natural elements prevailed throughout the wedding.  The closeness of the family and friends could be felt and seen in the great consideration and love that each had for the other.

Just Married

Pastor Norvell stressed the importance of savoring the moments of the wedding. Not to Rush.  To have memories of the wedding for a lifetime to pass on to the next generation.

The Bride and Groom spoke to each other. This was their vowes to each other.
Tears of joy by both.

Those in  attendance sat under the shade of the Oak Tree.  In times past the Oak Tree shaded those in the field who had to work the Crops.  The passage of time has changed the venue of the homestead.

Rose Petals led the way to the Ceremonial landing.

The Beautiful Bridesmaids

So lovely seated near the  cascading water

I cannot say enough about Micah.  Brother of the Bride.  You would have thought he had lost the rings as he had to
"search" for them for a second during the ceremony.  He was such a pleasure. So energetic and courteous. He is a great young man that will accomplish the great and the wonderful .

Has to be the  famous
'second' kiss at Cochino

Just to be typically Texas.....Mike Swearingen fired the gun which signified
"Let the Wedding Begin".  An enons old tradition and a must for Texas Weddings.

Pies filled the sweets buffet

The Wedding Pies were made by Pete's Place just out of Lufkin, Texas toward Hunnington.

The tiny bars of natural herbal soap made by the bride and her sister were a great gift for the guests. A great idea and with a message tied with raffia.

Taking a little ride on the golf cart

This is the root system of the Old Oak Tree that shaded the wedding guests and cast a great shade for the Bride and Groom.  In years to come, maybe the new couple will revisit their wedding place and see how much the tree has changed.

This is the under story of the tree whose branches are reaching toward the heavens.  This is a good omen. In years to come, how will the branches look. I am sure larger and even more grand , just as the love of the new couple.

The Wedding Pie Table was a hit with the guests.

The wedding was coordinated by Kim Slack and Angelia Parker along with a host of friends and relatives who helped throughout.   Jennifer Schlaudt helped also as well as being a bridesmaid.
The musicians were Laura Rach, Harpist; Matitie Rach, Violinist and Heather Yerkes, Pianist. The music was so Elegant as it charmed its way  thoughtout the lobby.  It brough peace and happiness.
