Fomby and Sikich Wedding at Cochino Lodge

Sara Fomby and Kenny Sikich

May 15, 2010

"All We Need Is Love" could have been the theme of the Fomby - Sikich Wedding.
It was a magical day full of surprises and natural ambiance.
This was a wedding of many facets held totally under the heavens.
The bride and groom stood under the Old Oak Tree with moss draping naturally to create a great feel
The huge limbs swung low to the ground symbolically protecting the couple from the outside.
Lavender was thrown to the wind embracing the couple as they left the shelter of the Oak making their way to greet family and Friends.

Musicians from Nacogdoches played throughout Wedding time. These accomplished musicians are not strangers to Cochino.  We love having them here.
Jennifer Dalmas, Professor of Violin at SFA along with her Husband and Musical professional presented an elegant collection.

Wedding Decor
By
Sara Bruce who created the natural environment that Sara and Kenny wanted for their wedding
Huge pots of Herbs decorated the wedding aisle.
The Sweet smell of Scented candles were on the Deck, Veranda and Gallery of Cochino Lodge as well as lining the walkway in large containers.
Many tables were scattered on the lawn near the cascading waterfall and lawn pond of Cochino.
Tables were lighted by torches posted adjacent to each table.
Each table had arms of natural branches and bird's  nests with eggs as well as flowers for the guests
Tied at each outside seat of the wedding aisle were hearts shaped of twigs and toule.
At the end of the grande deck long bolts of colorful  material were draped in the tall gables and swayed to the breeze.  Just stunning. A great gift of decor.

For entertainment Sara Bruce  and Larry Burce provided music for the crowd to enjoy the night away.

Quarles has that innovative touch that makes for a memorable photograph and brings back memories of the wedding as if it were yesterday.  Some little things you may  forget but photographs are there to stir the memory.
