The Cochino Lodge with inside table seating for 90 also (Veranda seating for 20 & Gallery seating for 20 as well as Deck seating for 50 plus) old items from a distant era, full kitchen, bar, and two bathrooms. Pier and Casa Laguna on the lake. Enjoy a mile long nature trail with abundant plant life and signs of many animals as they hide from the visitor. Tables, chairs, table cloths (seating inside 90 plus the Veranda and deck; Gallery and lawn seating, choice of 2 trellis, wire flower baskets, greenery, 100 chairs for outside weddings, white lights placed inside and out, white swag tulle in place, 10 large rockers for veranda, long porch table and round tables and chairs porch seats 20), Cake table, Cake server, silver candlebras, mirror, lot of Vases and Candy Buffet Containers, lace tablecloth, beverage cooler, artificial greenery, 7 large round tables and chairs for deck, 4-48 inch tables and chairs, and 7 tall bistro tables and stools, small ice machine. Ring the traditional bell when the couple are married, tables inside lodge have basic decor that you may or may not use or add to as you desire. The lodge is Wedding Ready, all you have to do is to add the finishing touches yourself and set up your chairs and trellis as you would like it to be. Ashley and Johathan were the first couple in 2012 to celebrate their marriage at Cochino Lodge.

It was a wedding that was full of sparkles, dancing light and glamour. The trees of the wedding site were filled with crystal coated containers that held lights that twinkled into the night.

It was a crisp day, wind blew somewhat the day before but it turned out to be a great day

for the wedding.

The wedding ceremony was held on the East Lawn facing the Lake. The grass was green and the sky was blue and the lake had risen with the recent rains. A large crowd gathered from Lumberton, Groveton, Beaumont, Orange and Lufkin.

The decorations were originals made by the bride and her friends and family. There were a lot of great and innovative ideas that made the wedding very unique.

Old doors, windows, burlap, handmade flowers, music and trees filled with candled containers made the ambiance unforgettable.

The old galvanized tub in a cart held the cokes and cold drinks.

The "clothes line" was made by the groom to hold photographs at the registration table. This is a great idea.

The Mid Deck had large tables that held huge glass containers with submerged yellow jasmine and floating candles. At the edge were tree rounds with the initials burned into the wood. So clever.

The serpentine table was decorated in white and burlap.

Old Windows were placed to compliment the vintage look created.

Old Doors were behind the head table and held initials of the couple. This was so attractive.

Old Doors have such a magical feel. With a lot of meaning attached.

Amanda Cotton and Nick Malone were wed in Mid-December

The location was over the river and through the woods. Early morning fog hovered over the landscape and water. It was just beautiful. The trees were magnificant copper,golden,

deep purple, red-orage, and bronze against a background of tall green pine trees.

The feel was elegant and polished eastern Texas glistening silver along with all the jewel colors of autumn.

The feel was crisp and cool yet the sun was shining and there was no moisture the day of the wedding.

It was a perfect day. The Lodge was in full decor of the bride's chosen colors that mirrored the outdoors.

It was cozy inside with the wonderful aroma of candles wafting throughout with soft lighting and several tables of delicious beverages and sweets.

rustic arch. He almost needed a forklift to move them in place.

The Bride's Mother, Jane, made the white branched decor from small sweetgum trees, so inventive. It looked so festive.

Wed at Cochino Lodge

December 3, 2011 was a perfect day for a wedding. It was not cold at all. As a matter of fact, when the dancing began on the Grande Deck, the fans had to be plugged in. The weather forcast had threatened rain, but the rains held off until darkness fell. Then there was a light sprinkle. The wedding ceremony was held on the Grande Deck. White Chairs were placed and the arch was positioned . The Music and speakers were strategically located and it was 'wedding ready'. The ceremony began at 5:00 PM. There was soft lighting on the Grande Deck as the sun was setting then the young couple began their vows.

The families were just delightful. The bridesmaids assisted with the refreshments and the groomsmen assisted with set-up and take-down. The decor was striking and very attractive. Zebra print and dreamy blue were the colors chosen. Candles were placed on all the tables. Floating candles as well as candles atop wine glasses with a rose underneath were very pretty and unique. The Cake toppers were so humorous. The Rains came but this did not dampen the spirit of the Widdon and Goddard Wedding.

A East Lawn wedding had been planned however, the Texas weather had another idea.

The family quickly decided to use their back-up plan and began immediately to put it into action.

The Mid-Retreat was filled with chairs and an arch beautifully decorated with fall flowers. Beyond this was the Grande Deck with soft lighting as the backdrop for the ceremony

The soft glow of the white lights and the chandelier made for a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Sean Kimmerling, Pro-DJ, set up his controls near the entrance which allowed him to help with the line up of attendants and their order of entrance. The music was just great from mid afternoon until into the night.

The decor glowed. Mother of the bride guided her helpers throughout the day of preparations and it came together wonderfully. The Bride and Groom's tables reflected the personalities of each of their passions. After the wedding the aroma of cigars mingled and lingered as a reminder of a great celebration with family and friends who braved the weather and had a wonderful time.

Beautiful and very graceful.

Wow! The Bride was Beautiful and Radient.
The incliment weather did not sadden her but a fewseconds.
With the need for a new arrangement of wedding setup at Cochino
the Bride quickly began to plan the new look.

She is so precious, look at her expression. I love it.

Cochino Lodge Celebrated the Wedding of Sara Harris and Adam Moore

Families from Timpson, Lufkin and surrounding areas

came to Cochino Lodge to bless the Marriage Vows of Sara Harris and Adam Moore.

A large Crowd gathered on the West Lawn for the Ceremony and festivities.

Mother of the Bride, Melinda, coordinated the wedding with the Bride's chosen theme

of Vintage. It was Delightful. I could feel the 1950s. The table decor was of Milk Glass and Fire King decanters adorned with flowers made by Melinda Harris. These were hand made of vintage material with covered button centers. All fabric patterns reminiscent of the 50s were represented. Some tables had clear glass ware bottles of the era also. Glass dinner plates were a vintage collection of the Bride's family with many different patterns. Cake plates as well repesented an array of patterns and styles. The napkins were made of colorful very old material that were doubled material and sewed perfectly for a large napkin in which the silverware was wrapped and tied with a ribbon. Old Mason jars with wire handles had candles that lit the way for the ceremony. It was a true delight and a journey to when many of the guests were young and all their life was ahead of them. Now everyone was celebrating a new era with vintage memories and great hope for the new couple.

So cute, the shoes of another era.

Vintage plaid table runner with crochet and flowers of 1950ish fabric. The Fire King glass ware was so appropriate and a great conversational piece. Everyone was looking to see what they had grown up with. Very interesting.

The Bride's Cake...a cupcake tree with a great idea for the top. A small cake to be taken for the first anniversary sat atop the tree.

The bar also held an array of cupcakes in vintage plates that sat atop vintage wine glasses turned upside down. A unique idea and it worked.

The Groom's Cake table highlighted his interest of cards and poker chips (chocolate)

Donnie Puckett, conducted the ceremony. He is becoming a regular at Cochino Lodge.

He has an easy manner and great attitude. He puts the couple at ease and includes the audience in his ceremony.

This group thought of everything. The young ones had entertainment set up in the chapel that kept them well entertained. Great Idea.

This was a wedding made for the Fall. The bride's colors, the colors of the trees and the landscape all came together to give a colorful jeweled backdrop for a very romantic wedding. The bride was so delightful and her groom saw his bride as his shining star.

Careful and creative planning by the Bride's mom made for an unforgettable wedding. It could have easily been an installation of Art. The decor and the unusual touches were very meaningful to the families.
The bride's bouquet was made of jeweled broaches that were family heirlooms, some of which the Bride's Mom played with when very young. This was a beautiful piece of work by Karla, the bride's mom.
Pumpkins were jeweled, carved and beautifully lit and became brighter as dusk set in. Food was exquisite catered by Ralph & Kacoo's of Lufkin, Texas.

What a great Day October 29, 2011. Crisp Autumn day with the Sun shining. The Wedding was very Fall. The Wedding Brand was rustic. The couple's Brand reflected their interests and the artwork of the family and friends. Boots, spurs, hats and hunting were the inspiration as well as native flowers, leaves, and seeds. The lodge was decorated with Black boots with sun flowers placed throughout. The bride's grandmother Morris made the bouquets and table decor of wild flowers, leaves, seeds and pods that were artistically arranged. The deck tables were adorned with circle cut tree trunks with old lanterns sitting atop. Beverages were presented in the Canoe as well as the wheeled cart holding a galvanized old bathtub filled with ice. The bride's grandmother Wheeler prepared the wedding rehersal dinner as well as the reception food. This was a great feast and plenty of it. Mother of the Bride as well as aunts and cousins worked throughout both days to insure a great wedding to remember. Ashley Gallant worked endlessly as the Wedding Coordinator and did a great job. Wedding favors of flavored coffer creamer in decorative fruit jars were given to the guests along with fall candies and sweet delights. The bride's cake was made by Grandough Baking Company 936-632-1005
and the Groom's cake was by Sugar and Spice -Please email the exact name and number . The Groom cut the cake with a vintage knife made of horn, a gift from family. This cake sat on a tree trunk slice with the knife imbeded in the wood. It was handy for cutting the cake.

The families gathered the day before to do the decor and rehersal dinner.

It took a vary large family to get things done as there was a lot of decor and preparations and cooking.

It was a great wedding day as well. The weather was ideal.

Blessing Stones were given to each guest as they were seated for the Ceremony.

Each guest took the stone and for a moment made a wish or a blessing for the happiness and good will for the Groom and the Bride and their future. The stones were then combined with love in the same basket when the ceremony was over. In this way friends and family were joined through the bride and groom into one. Their paths are now one. All is now shared and with this comes new strength and joy as together they forge a new life's path and destination. The new couple took the stones with them as symbol of each one's blessings for them.

A tradition is beginning where guests

leave a cross or other religious symbol standing for good intentions and prayers

for the newly married couple as well as

those having been married for many years.

to a Cedar Post that represent decades of locking and unlocking doors, mailboxes, cars, suitcases, diaries, and the like. Keys change as life changes. House keys especially as well as car keys.

Wed at Cochino Lodge

It was an ideal day. The weather was great. A huge family that came from Louisiana and South Carolina and melded with Texas enjoyed themselves with traditional Louisiana food as well as Deep East Texas delights.

The Southern tradition of the Sweet Grass Palmetto Rose was featured throughout the wedding.

Many of these roses were intertwined with fresh flowers, artistry of Roderick of Texas (located in Lufkin, Tx.) as well as standing alone and given as gifts to each guest. These were so unique. Loxie, from South Carolina, designed the wedding decor and orchestrated the lovely arrangements sending over several hundred of these roses for the flower arrangements. The Everlasting Rose or Palemetto, gained popularity during the Civil War, when a young lady would give a Sweet Grass Palemtto Rose to a loved one going off to war, hoping the rose and the loved one would return safety. Thus called the Everlasting Rose as it served as a symbol of everlasting love between the two. These sentiments of everlasting love were those of Justin and Kourtnie as well. The Candy Buffet was delicious and delightful. A lot of variety and very ususual and interesting candy.

Just before the Wedding, the lawn was all set up with chairs and the archway

Look at the Floral Arrangements. These were a Hit at the Wedding.

The forest behind the lodge was a beautiful backdrop from the deck.

It is home to many plants and many forest animals. A natural setting for a beautiful wedding.

Cake by Neighbor -Courtnie Cole. It was fitting and proper for Justin.
